Palooza Gastropub & Wine Bar, located at 8910 Sonoma Hwy. in Kenwood, is surrounded by wine tasting rooms and vineyards. Owners and managers of the Sonoma Valley wineries frequent the restaurant for its delicious food, wine, and beer. Yes, I said beer.

While wine is the main focus of the tourists traveling to the Kenwood area, Palooza is focusing on providing a vast selection of craft beer. They have sixteen craft beers on tap that are constantly changing and over twenty bottles of sour and barrel aged beers to choose from. A few beers on tap at the moment include Firestone Walker Brewing Company’s XVIII Anniversary Ale, Wild Card Brewing Company’s Second Anniversary Bourbon Aged Oatmeal Porter, and Coronado Brewing Company’s Skullwrapper IPA.

Palooza’s one year anniversary was on February 14th, but the official anniversary party will take place this upcoming Saturday, February 21st. The event begins at noon with live music from 1pm to 4pm. A few kegs that will be tapped for the anniversary celebration include offerings from Berryessa Brewing, Sonoma Springs Brewing Company, Bear Republic Brewing Company, The Lost Abbey , North Coast Brewing Company, and Almanac Beer Company.

Special magnum size bottles of wine will be opened for the celebration and anyone that likes Palooza on Facebook will get a ticket entered in a drawing for one of two $100 gift cards. Other prizes will be given away to those of you that ‘like’ the page and pay Palooza a visit during the anniversary celebration. Click here for their Facebook link.
