Beer Country

A digest about that other famous beverage

North Coast celebrates a quarter century

Another Beer Country pioneer is celebrating an anniversary, with North Coast Brewing in Fort Bragg marking 25 years of beer, with the Twenty-fifth Anniversary Ale. The beer is a “Belgian-inspired session beer,” made with the same yeast strain used to make the Le Merle Belgian Style Farmhouse Ale. At the top, of course, is the Big Man on Campus in Sonoma County, Lagunitas,… Read More »

Since 2000, however, some breweries have turned this partnership to a more noble cause, this time exploiting  beer to help breasts, or at least help fund breast cancer treatment. About 80 breweries will join host Marin Brewing Company on Saturday for Breastfest 2013 at the Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion in San Francisco from… Read More »
