Marin Brewing releases 3 Flowers in bottles

Marin Brewing is releasing its popular, but previously tap-only, IPA known as 3 Flowers in 22 oz bottles. The rye IPA weighs in at 6.5 percent alcohol by volume and is hopped with the three flowers that give it the name: Citra, Cascade and Chinook hops. Great American Beer Fest winners

The 2013 winners for the Great American Beer Festival, just wrapping up in Denver, are out and our big winner locally was Third Street AleWorks, with two awards, including a gold. Russian River, Moylan’s and Bear Republic each picked up one award. Bear Republic previews GABF offerings

Bear Republic will preview its entries for October’s Great American Beer Festival in Denver at its 5th Annual Cellar Party on Sept. 15 at the brewpub in Healdsburg. They will be tasting at least 20 beers, the same batches that have been sent off for judging at the festival, and passing food and offering general fun. Bear Republic bottles Cafe Racer 15

Bear Republic is putting its well-regarded seasonal Café Racer 15 in bottles for the first time, starting in July, the brewery said this week. The 22 oz bottles, often known to the beer fluent as “bombers,” will hit California shelves the first week of the month. It should roll out in other Beer Republic states in the weeks that follow.
