Fans of the Bear Republic Brewery will want to tune into the Esquire Network on Wednesday as the Cloverdale brewery and Healdsburg restaurant will be featured on an episode of “Brewdogs.” It will air at 9 p.m. The hosts of the show, James Watt and Martin Dickie, travel to northern California and visit Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Chico and Bear Republic while they collect ingredients to brew their own collaborative beer. Anniversary celebrations for two local bottle shops

Two great Sonoma County bottle shops will be celebrating an anniversary over the next couple of weeks. Rincon Valley Tap Room and Bottle Shop, formally Rincon Valley Wine and Beer, will be celebrating their one year anniversary on Sunday, July 27, from 2 to 7pm. U.S. brewery count tops 3,000

The Brewers Association has declared that the United States has crossed the 3,000-brewery count mark as of last month. It is believed that the count was well over 3,000 at some point in the 1800s, but this is by far the most amount of breweries to be operating at one time since the end of Prohibition. Ready, Set, Growl Beer Festival

The Ready, Set, Growl Beer Festival presented by Whole Foods Tap Room will take place in Juilliard Park in Santa Rosa on Sunday, August 24 between 11am and 3pm. The beer festival will be in conjunction with the Santa Rosa Marathon. Last year the marathon had 4,000 participants and another few thousand spectators.
