Jack Joyce, co-founder of Rogue Ales passed away on Tuesday at the age of 71. Jack and partners launched Rogue in 1988 and became leaders in one of the most influential beer regions (Oregon) in the country. Brett Joyce, Rogue president and Jack’s son released the following message to the Portland Business Journal over email, “It is a sad day for me as a son who has lost a dad, a sad day for our employees who have lost a leader, and a sad day for all of his friends who lost a friend.”

I for one will enjoy a Rogue beer in memory of Jack this evening.
