The guys over at Fogbelt in Santa Rosa are having their first seasonal release party since opening the new taproom last month at 1305 Cleveland Ave. On Saturday, March 29, they plan to debut Screaming Titan Double IPA, with a party from noon to 10 p.m. at the taproom. They describe it as 102 IBUs and 8.5 percent alcohol. Like all their beers, this seasonal offering is named for famous giant redwood trees, in this case a gigantic twin pair of trees, known as the Screaming Titans, fused together at the base into one massive 30 foot trunk. They live in the famous Grove of Titans in Del Norte County.
That also happens to be the same day as the annual 17th annual Battle of the Brews at the fairgrounds, a benefit for the North Bay Challenger Little League put on by the Active 20-30 Club of Santa Rosa. That’s shaping up to be a great event, with many of the best North Coast breweries joining a bunch of national and regional standouts. I won’t try to list everyone – just look here for the lineup.
